Mission
Our mission is to partner with our school’s community to create and sustain a safe environment that demands academic excellence, honesty, and teamwork while fostering emotional well-being and instilling a passion for learning.

Vision
Our vision is to provide the framework by which students become self-reliant, confident, and able to become successful, creative contributors to society.

Beliefs
1. All children are capable of learning when we provide diverse and positive learning experiences in a safe, secure, and orderly environment.

2. All students are expected to meet high standards for academic performance.

3. With adequate resources and effective support, all students will achieve proficiency and beyond.

4. We are to meet each child’s unique developmental, social, emotional, academic, and physical needs.

5. Every child deserves respect, fairness, and understanding.

6. Optimal learning occurs when maximum instructional time is valued, used, and protected by the principal, teachers, parents, and students.

7. Teachers will differentiate instruction to address all learning styles in order to meet the individual educational needs of every student.

8. Data from a variety of assessments and research based practices should be used to drive instruction and decision making.

9. Continuous participation in conferences, workshops, and training sessions advances the goals of academic, social, and emotional growth for all members of the school community.

10. Students, parents, teachers, administrators, and staff will follow school policies and procedures developed cooperatively with teachers, administrators, and parents and aligned to maintain a focus on
achieving the school’s goals for student learning. These policies and procedures are aligned with the state and MNPS standards.

11. Education empowers individuals to make productive life choices.

12. The administration of the school should collaborate with the students, parents, faculty, and community in the data driven, shared, decision-making process for planning, reorganizing, and reforming the school as a high performing learning culture for all children.

13. Effective internal and external communication between and among the stakeholders is essential to the learning process.
