Mission
It is the mission of the A. Z. Kelley Elementary Library Media Center to promote literacy, foster the lifelong enjoyment of reading, and develop effective users of information.

Philosophy
The A. Z. Kelley Elementary Library Media Center supports the members of the elementary community in their academic, professional, and personal needs. Through collaboration and integration of information literacy skills, students will be able to function successfully in the information society. The Media Center promotes reading and provides an educational environment that encourages, inspires, and stimulates students’ interests and appreciation for reading and learning.

Checkout Procedures
Our library media center operates on a flexible schedule. All students have the opportunity to check out books on a daily basis. Students in kindergarten and first grades may checkout one book at a time, while second—fifth grades may checkout two books at a time. Books are checked out for two week periods and may be renewed if needed. Lost and/or damaged books and magazines must be paid for before a student may continue checking out.
